A class action brought on behalf of all Las Vegas medical waste disposal customers of Republic Industries is certified.  The complaint alleges causes of action for fraud, breach of contract and racketeering.  After three years of arduous litigation, the case is settled.  As a result, each customer receives a check for 21 percent of all sums the customer had paid to Republic Industries during the relevant period of 1991 through June of 1999.  June 2003.
